Catch 'Em All Privacy Policy

CEA (Catch 'Em All) is a Discord server for players of Pokémon GO. It provides a platform for players around the world to get together, contribute, and share tips, views, and achievements related to the game.

There are a number of bots running within the server that help players access the information they are looking for more quickly and provide various features to the community.

This Privacy Policy explains what data the CEA bots may access, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Information We Collect

CEA bots may access and process the following Discord data when required for their functionality:

  • Server (Guild) IDs – Used to identify Discord servers where CEA bots are installed or operating.

  • Channel IDs – Used to determine where announcements, welcome messages, Pokémon notifications, giveaways, and other bot features should operate.

  • User IDs – Used when necessary to respond to commands, send requested information through direct messages (DMs), register giveaway participants, identify winners, or provide other bot functionality.

  • Message Content – Accessed when users, administrators, or moderators interact with supported bot commands or features.

  • Role Information – Used when required to determine whether a user has access to specific bot features, commands, or channels.

  • Interaction Data – Such as button or emoji interactions used to request information, enter giveaways, or interact with other bot features.

CEA bots do not collect passwords, email addresses, payment information, or other personal information outside of what Discord provides through its API.

Bot-Specific Information

The following sections provide additional information about the individual bots operated by CEA and how each bot uses Discord data.

CEA Announcement

CEA Announcement provides announcement and welcome-message functionality.

The bot may access:

  • Server (Guild) IDs – To identify the Discord servers where the bot is installed.

  • Channel IDs – To determine which channels should receive announcements or welcome messages.

  • User IDs – When necessary to send welcome messages or respond to administrator commands.

  • Message Content – Only when a server administrator or moderator uses a bot command, for example, to create an announcement or configure the bot.

This information is used solely for sending welcome messages, posting announcements, processing authorized commands, and maintaining the configuration required for these features.

Mewtwo Bot

Mewtwo Bot delivers Pokémon-related information, scan notifications, and search functionality.

The bot may access:

  • Server (Guild) IDs – To identify servers where the bot is installed.

  • Channel IDs – To determine which channels receive Pokémon notifications and announcements.

  • User IDs – To respond to commands and send requested Pokémon information through direct messages (DMs).

  • Message Content – When users invoke commands such as !pokesearch, request commands, or other supported commands.

  • Role Information – When required to determine access to specific bot features or channels.

  • Interaction Data – Such as button interactions used to request or display certain information.

This information is used to process Pokémon searches and other requests, deliver scan notifications, and send requested Pokémon information such as coordinates, IVs, moves, and related data.

Growlithe Bot

Growlithe Bot provides Pokémon GO scan and raid information.

The bot may access:

  • Server (Guild) IDs – To identify servers where the bot is installed.

  • Channel IDs – To determine where bot commands are used and where notifications may be sent.

  • User IDs – To respond to commands and send requested Pokémon or raid information through direct messages (DMs).

  • Message Content – When users invoke supported commands such as -scan or -raidscan.

This information is used solely to process scan and raid requests, provide scan-related information, and send requested Pokémon or raid data to users.

Delibird Presents

Delibird Presents provides giveaway functionality through interactive buttons and Pokémon name-guessing events.

The bot may access:

  • Server (Guild) IDs – To identify servers where the bot is installed.

  • Channel IDs – To determine where giveaways are created and managed.

  • User IDs – To register giveaway participants, identify winners, and respond to interactions.

  • Message Content – When users participate in Pokémon name-guessing giveaways or when administrators use commands to create or manage giveaways.

  • Interaction Data – Such as button or emoji interactions used to enter giveaways.

This information is used solely to register participants, process Pokémon name guesses, determine winners, manage giveaways, and maintain the configuration required for giveaway functionality.

How We Use Your Data

Data accessed by CEA bots is used solely to provide their intended functionality, including:

  • Providing Pokémon GO-related information and notifications.

  • Processing user commands and requests.

  • Sending requested information through Discord direct messages.

  • Posting announcements and welcome messages.

  • Operating and managing giveaways.

  • Determining access to specific features where required.

  • Maintaining server and bot configuration settings necessary for operation.

CEA does not use information accessed by its bots for purposes unrelated to their stated functionality.

Data Storage

CEA bots store only the minimum information necessary for their operation.

This may include server configuration settings, channel settings, feature preferences, active giveaway information, participant entries, and other information required for specific bot features.

Temporary data used to process commands, interactions, or Pokémon name guesses may be handled during operation but is not retained longer than necessary.

Data Sharing

CEA does not sell, rent, or share user or server data collected through its bots with third parties.

Data accessed by CEA bots is not used for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

Security

Reasonable technical and administrative measures are taken to protect stored data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

Your Rights

Users may stop interacting with CEA bots at any time.

Where a CEA bot is installed on another Discord server, server administrators may remove the bot at any time, which will stop the bot from accessing that server's data.

Server administrators may also request deletion of stored server configuration data by contacting CEA.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to CEA bots, their functionality, or data practices.

Continued use of CEA bots after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
